I signed because of many reasons. But I think it is enough to speak about the main one. I am an exiled Venezuelan author. My native country is under a communist dictatorship at the moment. It is a very clear example of how politics can kill the truth, not only by saying lies as truths, but also shutting mouths of those who want to be freely tell the truth. Sadly, I had to leave the country. Now I am living in Argentina with my wife. I am writing books, and helping my family and others by sending money, and posting material that helps them (I hope) to deal with the really hard situation they have living there. So, I pledge my earnest efforts to (as I think I have been doing): share truth, honour truth and encourage truth.
